Financial Education Workshop SeriesLearn basic budgeting strategies and why good credit is critical to your spending power. Lake Anne Building 2013 FISH Fling Gala and FundraiserThis year’s FISH Fling Gala and Fundraiser was held at the Crowne Plaza Dulles Hotel in Herndon. Guests were able to bid on dozens of auction items, dance to the lively music of the Free Tom Band and enjoy a sit-down dinner with wine. The Fling “netted” over $50,000 to support FISH’s Family Assistance Program. This year FISH honored four STAR FISH at the Fling: Claire Dessart, Kay Walter, Peggy LeReche and the Bradley Farm Haunted House. Claire volunteers at The Bargain Loft, Kay volunteers for Family Assistance, and Peggy coordinates the FISH Financial Workshops. They are valued volunteers that FISH could not do without. The Bradley Farm Haunted House was honored as a STAR FISH for its commitment to Herndon-Reston FISH. The proceeds from the Haunted House are donated annually to FISH and last October it raised $8,000 for FISH. Lisa Kelly and Sarah Bermingham represented the Haunted House at the Fling.
