Donations enable Herndon Reston FISH to assist members of our community get through financial crises. The corona virus pandemic has increased the demand for the emergency assistance that FISH provides.

This crisis, surely the most severe in many years, has disrupted the lives of many of our neighbors, so that our services are more crucial than ever.

Approximately 75% of those we help have very low income and no savings, and many work multiple low-paying jobs. Your support makes a difference in their lives and makes our communities stronger.

Online donations (click on button above) or checks in any amount from individuals, businesses or groups are greatly appreciated. We are a tax deductible 501(c)(3) organization and part of the United Way Campaign No. 8359 and the Combined Federal Campaign No. 83534.

Checks may be mailed to:
Herndon-Reston FISH, Inc.

1141 Elden Street, Suite 200
Herndon, VA 20170

If you wish to donate securities to FISH, please click here for instructions. All contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the Internal Revenue Code.

DONATIONS NEEDED AT THE BARGAIN LOFT

We accept any good quality household items.  Help FISH replenish the Bargain Loft shelves!  Also consider donating when you are moving, downsizing, or selling estates.

CAUSE NETWORK

Another way to donate to FISH without incurring any cost to you is to access the services available through the CauseNetwork.  A number of participating retailers—like Target, GAP, Staples, Best Buy, and many others—will contribute a portion of your online purchase price (as much as 10%) to FISH.  Likewise, if you reserve a hotel through CauseNetwork travel partners—for example, Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, and Priceline—a portion of your purchase price is donated to FISH. Or you can donate your used vehicle or electronics through CauseNetwork, with FISH getting the benefit. To explore any of these options, click here.

Sources of FISH Funding
FY2021 & FY2022

FISH receives money to support its efforts from a variety of sources. Individual and organizational donations are important to our efforts. We thank all who support FISH and those we help.

FY2021and FY2022 were unusual years because a very large part of our funding came from Fairfax County as a result of the money provided through federal legislation to mitigate the economic effects of the pandemic (for details, see the Annual Report

for FY 2022).

Thank You to Our Donors!
